At Heart by Hope, quality begins with our people. Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are fully trained in Phase I–IV required trainings in strict compliance with the Department of Disability Services (DDS) standards and HCBS waiver regulations.

We maintain structured onboarding, ongoing refresher courses, and compliance tracking to ensure every DSP meets and exceeds DDS expectations for safety, ethics, documentation, and person-centered care. This commitment ensures individuals receive consistent, professional, and high-quality support.

Family as Staff Model

Heart by Hope also believes in the power of family involvement. We are open to working with qualified family members as paid staff, in accordance with DDS guidelines. When appropriate and approved, family members can serve as Direct Support Professionals, allowing individuals to receive care from someone they already know and trust, while maintaining compliance and oversight standards.
